Suitable for concentrating tomato, vegetable and fruit (apricot, peach, apple, pear, orange, etc.) juices by evaporating their water content.
The evaporated water is then eliminated in water cooled condensers.
Various versions of concentrators are available:
• single action
• double action
• triple action
Depending on the required production and the characteristics of the product to be processed.
The evaporation is done in a vacuum to reduce the evaporation temperature and to conserve the product’s organoleptic qualities.
In the single action version, the evaporated product is sent directly to the condenser, while in the multiple action versions, it is reused to evaporate more product in the following stage.
The concentrator is composed of:
• vertical tube bundle heat exchanger (steam – product)
• evaporation chamber
• connection piping with centrifugal pumps to circulate the product
• condenser
• electrical control panel
The concentrators are equipped with a refractometer to continuously control the tomato concentration and the product unloading, a product level monitoring system within each stage, direct steam supply and condensate drains.
